What do I need |
Attending a LAN party needs some preparation time, the better you're prepared the more time you'll have playing the games you love. There's nothing more embarrasing than arriving without a monitor or even your PC. So this list should help a little. |

- PC base unit and monitor with all the gubbins including all cable
|
|
| |
|
- Anti-virus Software and ensure a full virus scan is completed before arriving at the LAN
|
|
| |
|
- Don't forget keyboard and mouse! (a gamepad can also be used for certain games)
|
|
| |
|
- A four socket extension lead **Important**
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
- Network Connections set to auto everything (No statics or DHCP etc.)
|
|
| |
|
- Headphones **Very important, no speakers will be allowed at the LAN!!**
|
|
| |
|
- Operating system/drivers disks - essential if Windows dies (always happens to someone)
|
|
| |
|
- Pre-installed games - Please ensure all games are installed prior to the LAN
|
|
| |
|
- Steam Games - Make sure your Steam games are installed and up to date
|
|
| |
|
- Money - for food and any other tat that may be on sale
|
|
| |
|
- Snacks - pasties, crisps, drinks, sweets, biscuits, sandwiches, pot-noodles, pot-mash, cup-a-soups etc (water boiling facilities and Microwave will be available)

|
- A decent size bag to carry all the crap you take to the LAN
|
|
| |

This list is by no means the be all and end all, you'll find as you attend more parties you'll be able to pack up and set up your computer in no time at all and even manage to fit it all in to a shoebox (maybe)! |

eFragz once again offer a place to pitch your tent, the College has space for you to pitch your tent and it can be booked by us for you with the College, you get a patch of grass big enough to fit your tent and a night in the countryside of south east Wales, it may not be much but hey it’s your tent.
